Really? Why does this have to keep happening? I can't take another day of this snow! However, I am very thankful to Chad for clearing the snow off my car before he went to work at 6:45 am--Chad you are amazing! Blake was thrilled to be able to wear his snow boots to school again. I think it's time to move...

Please Bring Back Spring!

We really enjoyed the warm and even windy spring weather we just had. But today we woke up to SNOW!! I am so sick of the white fluffy stuff that seems to never end. The kids had so much fun finally getting to play outside. I am boycotting this darn Utah weather....I made the commitment to spring by getting the kids flip flops, so we are just going to have to crank up the furnace and enjoy wearing them inside for a while.Monday, March 16, 2009
Secret's Out

Where did he come from??

Here's a little example:
Luke was hitting Blake over the head with a light saber and so I put him in time out. He was fine with that and sat in the corner until I got him out. We discussed that we can't hit and if we do then we have to sit in time out. So Luke got up and walked directly to Blake picked up the light saber and began to hit him harder then before. Then he walked over and put himself in time out. He gave me a look like "this is no big deal as long as I can hit him, I'll sit here for a few minutes." I hope he makes it to his 2nd birthday!

Skate Night
Blake and Savannah

A little background on this classy joint:
Chad and I grew up as "locals" and this was the HOT spot when I was in elementary! Chad even got a summer pass one year!! I remember dying to go to late night skate on Friday nights, but of course my parents would not allow such things. After all, it was open until 10 or 12 pm, not to mention "older" kids hung out there.
In 5th grade I had a friend that went every Friday night. So we made this plan to have a sleep over and then I could go. As my mom was dropping me off at my friends house for the night, the last thing she said was "Now remember you are not allowed to go to Classic"(maybe she was on to me?) I reassured her that we would not being doing that and that I was aware of the rules. The minute she left we were telling her dad that it was okay that I went and we were off for the night of life time.
After about an hour of being there the guilty feelings where too much and my night was ruined--no "couples only skate", and no watching MTV on the big screen (back when all they played was music videos). I told my friend I was sick and we needed to leave. Never did that again! I probably didn't go back until my senior year for Disco Night--which I'm sure I enjoyed!!
