Tide Pools
My brother took us to the tide pools at Laguna Beach. They were awesome and I was surprised how much we were actually able to see. The kids were so interested in everything they saw. It was amazing how many different things we were able to see. I think this is something we will go back and do again!

Beautiful Laguna BeachBlake's 6!!
Because we were going to California for Blake's Birthday/Spring Break we decided to not do a party this year. I told him I would still do a birthday cake, and then his thoughts started flying about what grand cake he would have this year...my thoughts were a basic 9x13 plain chocolate cake. But he insisted on having a snake cake.

Then the morning of his birthday Chad got up early and went and got balloons, donuts, and chocolate milk for a little morning celebration...later we found out that Blake doesn't really care for donuts by the one bite that he had.

To end the evening he got to open his presents and have brownies and ice cream. His birthday ended up being better then I thought. He got to celebrate his birthday all week long because we were going out of town everyone kept surprising him with presents before we left and when we got back--thanks to everyone for making his birthday great!

Happy 9 Years!
Happy anniversary Chad! Thanks for signing your life away 9 years ago to make me happy! Thanks for all the great memories and good times we have had. I really appreciate ALL you do to make my life easier. Thanks for always being willing to help out and do more than your fair share. You are truly amazing! Thanks for being my best friend. I love you!!!Monday, March 30, 2009
Why?
Really? Why does this have to keep happening? I can't take another day of this snow! However, I am very thankful to Chad for clearing the snow off my car before he went to work at 6:45 am--Chad you are amazing! Blake was thrilled to be able to wear his snow boots to school again. I think it's time to move...

Please Bring Back Spring!

We really enjoyed the warm and even windy spring weather we just had. But today we woke up to SNOW!! I am so sick of the white fluffy stuff that seems to never end. The kids had so much fun finally getting to play outside. I am boycotting this darn Utah weather....I made the commitment to spring by getting the kids flip flops, so we are just going to have to crank up the furnace and enjoy wearing them inside for a while.Monday, March 16, 2009
Secret's Out

I found Luke this morning getting into my secret stash of Girl Scout cookies. I love that this time of year you can't make it into any store with out those little girls "pestering" you to buy some cookies. This works out well for me because I am slowly figuring out that I have a cookie addiction! I am going to blame this one on Cheryl for introducing me to the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe ever. Who cares that it involves a pound of butter...maybe Chad when I decide to double the batch and double my size.

Where did he come from??
Seriously!!?? Good thing Luke is so cute because he is TROUBLE! Luke is completely the opposite of Blake. Luke is my trouble maker and the worst part is that he doesn't care. He is constantly climbing on the counter in the bathroom and playing in the sink, flushing the toilet(while I am in the shower!), unrolling the toilet paper, and he is famous for throwing food everywhere! Anywhere that is clean he is there to destroy it. And his "I don't give a darn" attitude is killing me!!

Here's a little example:
Luke was hitting Blake over the head with a light saber and so I put him in time out. He was fine with that and sat in the corner until I got him out. We discussed that we can't hit and if we do then we have to sit in time out. So Luke got up and walked directly to Blake picked up the light saber and began to hit him harder then before. Then he walked over and put himself in time out. He gave me a look like "this is no big deal as long as I can hit him, I'll sit here for a few minutes." I hope he makes it to his 2nd birthday!
