T-Baller

Blake has just about finished his 2008 T-Ball season and this year I think that he liked it. Last year he showed no interest in the game and pretty much wore his glove as a hat the entire time he was in the outfield. So I knew this year would be full of improvements!

Blake's Improvements:

  • Wears his glove on his hand.
  • Runs to get the ball.
  • Runs the bases in order 1, 2, 3, home!!
  • Hits the ball on the tee, instead of the tee.
  • A bit competitive when going for the ball, wants to be the first to get it.
I really think he plays sports because he loves Gatorade and feels he NEEDS one after a game. He says it gives him back his energy, and T-ball takes a lot of energy!

A Change....

This is me before...

This is me after....I look like so much more fun.

These people are genius!!

So I've been thinking that I could use a change in the hair department. So I began my Google search for Kirsti's next "new do". I came across this site were you could upload your photo and "try them on". So that is just what I did, and as you can see I tried them ALL on. This is now my new guilty pleasure and Luke's nap time has never been so much fun. I am just finding that it is not long enough, oh, how those two hours fly by!! Blake and I were having so much fun doing this we may find pictures of you our friends and family and give you a little "Virtual Makeover"...you've been warned.

I was seriously thinking of doing a shorter cut like a A-line or something but now that I have put them all on I definitely think I am going to go for the perm (only because I can't get curls without one), and as an added bonus it's Blake's favorite. What do you think??

...I don't know if the world is ready for this!

(are you Chad???)

Chad is amazing! For my birthday he surprised me with a trip to NYC!!! (it's a bit early but now we can celebrate my b-day all month.) I have wanted this forever and now I'm going and can't believe it! Between Chad and Jenn they pretty much had the whole thing planned and I had no clue. Thanks for the great surprise and letting me "open" my present early.

New Pictures

My boys really needed updated pictures and since I am not a fan lately of kiddie kandids I was really glad that my sister in law Kristi knows a thing or two about photography and was able to get such cute photos of Blake and Luke. I really love outdoor pictures and so a couple of weeks ago we set out for the Noni gardens and had success! Thanks Kristi you are amazing and Blake and Luke love you!

Our Little Graduate

Blake graduated from preschool this past Friday. He was so excited for graduation, I think that I really built it up for him because he was getting tired of going to school and kept wanting it to be over. I told him it was not over until he graduated and that was the best part.

He had a little part where he and 3 other kids got to sing a special song, he was not real excited about being in the spotlight so he was barely moving his lips. I can't believe that it's over and he will be heading off to kindergarten but now we have a full summer ahead of us with T-ball, a pool pass, swimming lessons, and soccer to keep us busy in the mean time.

Luke's 1st Birthday!!

Luke is ONE!! I can't believe that our baby is already a year old. On Wednesday we had a little party for him. We did the classic give him a cake and see what happens, and this little eating machine did not let us down. He dove into the cake with no problem and had a great time. On Blakes first birthday he would not eat it unless he had a fork so this was all new for Chad and I. But because he his such a good eater and there is not much he will turn down we knew this cake eating thing would be a success!! Happy Birthday big man and thanks for all the loves and laughs you have brought to us this past year.

St. George Fun

(Birds eye view of what we just went through)

Before and after the guys tri we were able to squeeze in some fun while in St. George. We were able to do some swimming which was really good for Blake, he finally learned that his life jacket would keep him floating and he could enjoy the water just as much as everyone else. Up until this point he has not been a fan of water that went passed his knees so he made huge improvements this year already. After he got a bit of confidence he was off and we could not get him to get out of the pool! Then Jessica told us about this little hike where the rocks were split called "fat man's crack" (not making that one up, although I wish I was). We had to shimmie ourselves between these two rocks and see if we could make it. I heard that some people do this in the dark..crazy! But everyone that attempted it made it through.
