Lotoja 2011

Lotoja 2011--3 States, 206 Miles, 1 Day.
They did it again for the 2nd year. This year they talked a few more people into it. They were lucky enough to get Dan to join them. He came all the way from Minnesota to ride this crazy ride.
Chad had 1 main goal in this years race, and that was to beat his time from last year. Well, after all the hard training and time he put in, it paid off! He beat his time from last year by one hour! Huge! Nice work babe!
Here are the twins married to twins...

Pre-race photos and interview for TNI.

Here is this years team: Chad, Craig, Dan & Chris
(Minus Steve, they couldn't find him anywhere once they got to the start line)

Start line. Playing it cool and calm.

The race is on! (he's yelling at me to find Steve)

Just arrived in Montpelier ID....Looking good guys.

Steve, Craig, Chad. Good to see they found Steve!

Right after one of the huge mountain climbs.

Leaving Alpine Wy. Feeling GREAT!

Chad pulling the guys.

Seconds before the finish line! Wahooooo!!

This is taken right after he crossed the finish and got off his bike. Looks like he just rode 206 miles.

Chad with his awesome support----ME!

Chad and his parents at the finish line.

Team Colyar. Minus Dan and Chris.

Post race dinner. All of the "original Colyars" were there.
Craig, Chad and Dan raced it. Kevin and Casey were there to support along with Mont and Cheryl. How fun for them all to be there! Great memories.

The text message I received after Chad crossed the finish!
So proud of you Chad. I can't believe you beat your time by 1 hour. Amazing!

Disneyland

We finally got our summer vacation in September. We had to wait until Chad's bike race was over if we wanted him to come with us. It was well worth the wait! We were able to leave Austin with Grandma and Grandpa Cook. We figured he would appreciate hanging with them more then living in his stroller. And we would appreciate not having to worry about taking a baby to Disneyland.

This trip was pefect. No lines. Nice weather. And boys that could ride all the rides.
The shuttle ride to the park

Blake and Mom heading off on the Matterhorn. Luke loved this ride, he could never remember the name, it was often called Waterhorn, or Hornin'.

Tower Of Terror. Luke hated this ride. He would be in tears every time we entered the elevator. But the camera captured his true feelings, so we told him he like it, made him ride it a few more times. By day three he was sure he didn't like it, and "sent out a rule" for no more Tower of Terror.

Of course we didn't miss out on the corndogs. Don't know what it is about these dogs but they are so good.

Luke not knowing what to expect while hanging in Bugs Land with Mom.

Luke taking his driving very seriously, things might have gone better if he could have seen over the steering wheel. I got a little bit of whip lash.

The boys love this ride. They just didn't love the line. This was the longest line we waited in probably only 25 mins.

About to board the ride...game on!

Luke loves this Toy Story ride.

Chilling in Bugs Land while Blake and Dad got soaked on Grizzly River Run.

Showing their true colors

Taking a minute to finally relax...too bad it was a short ride.
Luke didn't like any of the rides in Fantasy Land so we didn't spend much time there...much to scary for Luke. Blake thought they were fun.

Chad and Blake getting ready to take off driving

We made the boys ride Small World. Both Blake and Luke hated it! When we got off Luke said that he was not riding anymore "girl rides". They both had the small world song stuck in their heads the rest of the day.

Out at Tom Sawyers Island. We had never been out there before. They thought it was really cool. Blake loved all the caves.

Luke was not a big fan of the characters other than Mickey and Friends. He thought I was crazy to let Blake get near that monster. If he was open to the idea of watching movies he would know this guy was nice.

After Mickey's Dance Party

Love this picture!

Luke was excited to see these guys there. (the one movie he has seen)

Aboard the Jungle Cruise

My handsome men!

My little buddy on the trip.
These guys really enjoyed Toon Town. Blake is always so good with Luke. He always made sure Luke was right with him.

Such a fun Photo...only missing Austin.

Blake was our navigator. He always had the map in his hands and let us know where we were going next. He took it very seriously.

Tea Cups.

Dumbo ride
This guys is so grown up now. He was so much fun on this trip!
Goodbye Mickey and Friends! We'll be back!
